Ash Gourd,Curd curry/Kumbuda Pulikajipu

Ingredients:
Ash Gourd-1/2
Coconut-1/2 piece
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Green Chilly-4
Curd-1 cup
Salt-as per taste
water

Seasoning:
Oil-2tsp
Mustered-1/2tsp
Urad daal-1/2 tsp
Garlic cloves-2
Red chilly-2
Curry leaves
               

Method:
Grind the grated coconut,cumin seeds and green chillies with water into fine paste.Can add butter milk instead of water while grinding.Now in a pan take Ash gourd cut into big pieces.Add 2 cups of water,salt as per taste and cook it well.Now add the grinded mixture and cook for 5 to 10 min.At the end add curd and wait for one boil.Take it away from the gas.For seasoning take oil in a pan.add mustered,urad dal,garlic cloves,broken red chillies,curry leaves and immediately put into the gravy and cover the lid.Ash gourd gravy is ready







Aloo,Gobi Curry


Ingredients:


oil-3tbs
cumin seeds-1tsp
cauliflower-1 small

3/4 cup green peas
2 boiled potatoes
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
3  green chillies
1/2 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1 chopped tomato
salt to taste
Chopped coriander






Method:
Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the cumin seeds.When they splutter add chillies and saute for a while.Add the cauliflower florets, peas which should be paraboiled before . fry for few minutes stirring occasionally.Add the small sized potato pieces, turmeric powder, , coriander,jeera seed powder and mix well.Cover it with a tight fitting lid and cook on a low flame for 5 - 7 minutes. Or till the cauliflower is soft.Add the tomatoes, salt  and cook for 5 more minutes.Serve hot and garnish with coriander.


Paalak and Mung Dal Curry:
Ingredients:
Paalak leaves-1 bunch
Mung Dal-1/2 small cup
Whole green gram-1/2 cup(can use sprouted one)
Oil-3tbs
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Musterd seeds-1/2tsp
Onion-1
Ginger Garlic Paste-2tsp
Jeera ,Coriander powder-1tsp
Chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala-1/2 tsp
Salt


Method:
Take oil in a pan,add jeera and mustered in it.When it stops popping add onion,ginger garlic paste,tomatoes,jeera,coriander powder,chilly powder,garam masala powder and saute it for a minute.Now add the green gram (whole) and mung daal and cook well.Check that the green gram does not break .Add salt as per taste. Add the chopped palak in to the cooking pan once the green gram is well cooked.Cook for 5 more minutes and serve it hot with Chapathi or White Rice
